Winter Weather Prediction 2010 |
| 18 -12 -2009 ~ For Newton Ferrers & Noss Mayo |
November was a wet and stormy affaire. December has been quite quiet so far with a bit of rain, some sunshine, and a chilly blast. Christmas day weather is usually dull and cloudy, frequently damp, often windy and chilly, but never white! This Christmas day could be a sunny one, and warm-ish too, with a breeze but not a gale. Ideal for walking off that Xmas lunch or flying that new kite.
Plastic toboggans in Newton & Noss often come in handy for planting tomatoes in, but aren't particularly useful for their intended purpose due to the lack of snow we get here. That may change as I think arctic or siberian conditions may descend upon us during Jan/Feb, and we could see some significant snow fall, the likes of which we haven't seen for decades. You may just want to get your toboggan out of the greenhouse and get it ready.
